About Lock Change

A lock change means replacing the cylinder, deadbolt, or full multipoint mechanism on your door with a new one. The most common reasons people call us are: moving into a new home, losing keys, splitting up with a partner, or upgrading after a break-in.

Most jobs take 30-45 minutes for a single euro cylinder, longer if we're fitting BS3621-rated deadlocks or anti-snap upgrades. Our engineers carry the most common cylinder sizes and brands on the van — Yale, Mila, Avocet, ABS — so we rarely need a return trip.

If you need insurance-approved locks (BS3621 standard), tell us when you call. Most home insurance policies in the UK require BS3621 deadlocks on final-exit doors, and we can fit these the same day. Anti-snap (TS007 3-star or SS312 Diamond) cylinders are also stock items.

We don't push unnecessary upgrades. If you call about a single broken lock and the rest are fine, that's all we'll change. The price quoted on the phone is the price you pay — no callout fee, no surcharge for evenings or weekends.
