Cookie Policy

Last updated: 07/05/2026

Short version

This website does not use cookies that track you across sites. We do not run advertising cookies, behavioural targeting, or third-party trackers that follow you around the internet. There is no consent banner because we don't need consent for the things we do.

Detailed breakdown of what runs on this site

1. Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics to measure page load speed and basic traffic metrics. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data. It tells us things like "the homepage loaded in 0.7 seconds for 12,000 visitors yesterday" — nothing more granular than that. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

2. Google Tag Manager (no cookies on its own)

Google Tag Manager loads on every page but, by itself, does not set any cookies. It's a container for managing other tags. The only tag we have configured is Google Ads Call Conversion Tracking — see below.

3. Google Ads Call Conversion Tracking

If you arrived on this site by clicking one of our Google Ads, Google may set session cookies to count whether your call resulted in a conversion (call lasting longer than 60 seconds). These cookies expire when you close your browser. They are not shared with us as personal information — Google reports an aggregate "conversion count" only.

How to disable cookies

Most browsers let you block cookies in their settings. The Google Ads conversion cookies are session-only (deleted when you close the browser) so you can effectively reset them by closing all tabs. Blocking cookies entirely will not affect the functionality of this site — everything works without them, since we don't use cookies to remember anything between sessions.

Why we don't use a cookie consent banner

UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require consent only for non-essential cookies. The cookies described above (Google Ads Call Conversion) are arguably "strictly necessary" for measuring the effectiveness of advertising you've already engaged with by clicking the ad. They are session-only, contain no personal data, and are not used for cross-site profiling. We have made the policy decision not to display a banner on this basis.

If your interpretation of UK GDPR / PECR differs, or if you'd prefer no Google cookies at all, the simplest path is to close the browser tab when finished — session cookies will be cleared.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies (e.g., we decide to use Google Analytics 4 in future), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above changed. We'll also add a consent banner at that point if any non-essential cookies are introduced.
